The purpose of SUPER in Math is to create a supporting system for undergraduate students within the Mathematics Department of Texas State University. Our goal is to help students by conducting a series of meetings which will provide support in successfully persisting through mathematics. Within this organization, we will have graduate students who will act as mentors to the math major/minor undergraduate students who choose to attend the meetings. We hope that in combination with both the meetings and mentoring, we hope to do the following: create a community amongst students in the math department, increase positive experiences within the math department, increase student persistence, and support student success.
